Senior Specialist, Graphic Designer
Location: offices in NYC, 3x per week in office
Compensation Range: approx. $40/hour based on experience
About the Role
The Senior Designer is a problem-solver who thrives on delivering conceptually powerful, compelling, on-strategy, and detail-oriented executions against creative briefs. Beyond a mastery of design skills and software, the designer is proactive, self-motivated, passionate, a team-player and hungry.
This designer will focus on large-campaign creative ideation and development, including but not limited to program branding, e-learning, and video.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop strong, strategically sound concepts from brief to production for small and large campaigns
Excellent communication skills; engage team members at the right points, manage up as needed
Consistently deliver work on time, to the right degree of finish at each stage, and at high quality
Efficiently manage project workload for day-to-day needs
Effectively expand upon the boundaries of our design work with respect for the core tenets of our brand to deliver inspired, fresh creative that still maintains brand consistency
Collaborate with other agency teams including digital, social, video, and project management
Maintain expert knowledge of media-specific best practices across OOH, direct mail, digital, and social platforms; ensures creative is contextually relevant and effective
Strong presentation skills, clearly explaining how concepts will deliver against strategic, business, and creative goals to senior stakeholders
Liaise with stakeholders and project managers to ensure deadlines are met
Thinks holistically across channels to create integrated campaigns that carry brand consistency and meet audience needs across platforms
Stay up-to-date with industry developments, design tools, and emerging AI technologies to help drive creative efficiency and productivity
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3–5 years of experience, ideally in an agency environment
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Graphic Design, Visual Communications)
Strong conceptual and design thinking skills
Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, Figma, and other relevant design software
Strong knowledge of best practices for digital (web, landing pages, email), social media, OOH, direct mail, print, and video formats
Excellent organizational and communication skills; attention to detail, multitasking, prioritization, and project management
Thrives in a fast-paced, self-motivated, deadline-driven environment
Problem-solves with enthusiasm
Addresses feedback quickly and collaborates effectively
Ability to source, direct, or provide creative direction for photography or illustration when needed
(A plus) Familiarity with motion design tools (e.g., After Effects)
